About Us
Why is TPHS a great place to attend or work?
TPHS is a SACS accredited public high school located in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, which is a part of Monroe County in the lower eastern region of the state. We have approximately 450 students, 32 faculty members, 5 paraprofessionals, and a conglomerate of stakeholders and community members that support the academics, arts, athletics, attitude, attendance, and achievements of TPHS.
TPHS has a student to teacher ratio of 15:1, which encourages more personalized assistance for each student. Our school community has one of the lowest discipline rates compared to other schools in the surrounding areas; we are a "safe" school. Our teacher/staff turnover rate is very minimal.
